car lease ending/to buy new or keep?
We have almost a 4 year old Acura TSX and our lease is up in a few months. We just got a new set of tires ($650) and already have 50,000 miles on the car which is only supposed to be at 48,000 when we turn it in so we'll have to pay that mileage. We also have to get our navigation screen fixed because it somehow got broken but it still works. We have bought the screen and have it coming in to an auto shop where my husband knows someone that can fix it for us.
We really want to get a Honda CRV but afraid we'll end up paying too much for the mileage extras and then our payment will be outrageous but we also don't want to buy this car and be paying on it for another several years. What should we do?
you need to see what your buyout amount is compared to what the vehicle is worth. you should be able to get the buyout amount off your lease papers. your only 2000 miles over, so that shouldn't be too bad maby a couple hundred at the most. you need to just do the figures and see where your going to end up. you can go to the dealer and they will do all the figuring for you. but try to make sure they don't screw you (tell them your going to think it over) good luck
