How can I use my foot speakers vintage floor?

Does not look like a port for me, I do not know how to use it. The red and black is not as a regular port. flushly that does not fit at all.
The connections are red and black speaker cable and connectors will be for red and black on the back of the amplifier / receiver. Speaker wire, whatever color, has a colored thread and a black with a stripe. This is the way of using the connectors. Bare ends cables, take off the 8-10mm of the plastic cover and touch the bare end of each wire so no wire strands are coming out. Take the wire and light color hold down the red tab on the back of the speaker. Push the bare wire end of the normal color in the small hole just above the tab. Release the tab. Will spring back up and keep the stripped portion of cable strength. Make sure that no bare wires hanging wire. Now do the same with the cable that has the band black. Put that in the black connector on the speaker. Now connect the other end of cables to the amplifier in the same way - plain color to red, black striped wire. By the way, that's a very good pair of speakers you have there, even by the standards of today.
How in the ceiling speakers as compared to rs standing floor speakers for surround sound home theater.?
Can you PLCE Chanel in the center of the roof and have the front and rear speakers drown them out.
It does not really make much sense. You may get an experience sound much better if they are at ear level. Slightly above or below - the point is a center console that gives the illusion that sound comes from the source. In his much closer to the direction of sound, best sound. Up? not so much.
